i already posted this on the forumz but here;s my review of last night's show. We're taking off to LA in a few minutes...can't wait for the next show!!

sorry i left out solo intro, etc when i called in the setlist....i was just sooooo overwhelmed, it was an amazing show!!

Doughnut, Never Seen Blue, Lovesong (OMG!!!!) and Songbird were solo.

She had an improg before...crap...before a song...can't remember which but in the first part of the show that was something like:
We came down....
He thought I was sleeping
We crossed the road together
I felt him breathing...

and then something about knowing he's here but he's not here....maybe another Kevyn improv?

ASF was way better than i expected...the MP3s of that song just sound "off" but it sounded really tight and good last night, i was surprised.
Little Earthquakes was good as usual
Cornflake girl was funny and "bouncy" :)
Crazy sounded great, it's not my favorite song of the album but live is really great.
Take to the sky- the clapping during this song usually really bugs me (i know, she prompts it, etc but it does bug me) but last night it was fine for some reason!
Pancake - verrrry powerful and growly, really liked this one.
OMG...PANDORA!! As usual i was in tears! I knew it from the first note...that low D ;) Oh god it was great....
and then she followed that with another nickname of mine:
Wednesday...this is such a fun song, another bouncy one ;)

Then the guys left, the sign came down and she didn't say anything, just went into Dough.
Lovely.
Never Seen Blue was absolutely gorgeous!!! I had just been telling my friend Keri that i wanted that song in my wedding minus the "where the razor's been" part so i didn't use it...used For Mark instead which im sure she;ll never perform!
Then, i couldn't believe it, LOVESONG?!?!?! I"ve been waiting YEARS to hear this!! It was awesome!!!!!

Guys come back:
Mrs Jesus...i like this song but it didn't do a lot for me although it was good.
Crucify: I like this year's version of this song better than last year's..she seemed REALLY into it this time.
Talula!!!! This was great! I had heard she'd soundchecked it from...oh, that nice blonde girl--crap, don't know her name! Anyway, it was great to hear!
Honey and Sugar - both very intense, passionate versions of these, i like them back to back.
ICSNY- Y'know, this really brought the energy of the show down but it was pretty.
Spring Haze - another low energy song but lovely.

Encore 1:
Juarez - brought some grinding energy back...everyone stayed standing for this one so i got to dance a little:)
Past the Mission - beautiful version
Sangria - another desert song...it's always interesting to see how the location dictates the set list.

Encore 2:
SOLO SONGBIRD! This was sooo gorgeous. Keri didn't know what it was but told me after the show that she was surprised that i didn't use that in my wedding....i told her there wasn't a boot of her doing that song 3 years ago ;) And that it was a cover....she said she figured since it wasn't nearly cryptic enough to be tori lyrics :p

Taxi Ride - also really great live, i like it better than the album version, definitely.
And Horses...i like how she's performing this this year better than the last band tour also, it was so moving and gorgeous and it gave me my Neil reference for the evening. :)

So i got 2 nicknames, a neil song and a cure song!! WOOOOOHOOO! :D

It was an awesome awesome night and day... I got to talk to her at the M&G although i wasn't in front and she gave me another name to contact about an interview and she signed my Brief Lives book under Neil's sig and I gave her my 6 yr old friend Zoe's present (she made her and TAsh necklaces) and took a picture of her w/ it to give to Zoe :)

who knew Tempe could be so cool :p
